LA EQUITACIÓN COMO RECURSO EDUCATIVO EN LOS PROGRAMAS DEL COLEGIO DE EDUCACIÓN ESPECIAL BUENAFUENTE
ABRIL 2018
Un año más, la Fundación para la Promoción del deporte Ecuestre ha apoyado los programas de integración de la equitación como recurso educativo en los centros de atención integral de personas con discapacidad desarrollados por Fundación CABALLO AMIGO.
Durante el curso académico 2018- 2019, el colegio de Educación Especial Buenafuente ha sido el beneficiario del Programa.
La totalidad de alumnos del Colegio Buenafuente, 60 alumnos se han desplazado a lo largo del curso académico al centro ecuestre en horario de mañana y con apoyo del profesorado del centro educativo.
Este programa ha permitido, llevar a cabo una primera valoración de los alumnos en la actividad ecuestre y que todos los profesores del colegio acompañen a los alumnos al centro ecuestre y puedan apreciar los beneficios que el caballo y la equitación aporta en los programas educativos de los alumnos del colegio Buenafuente.
Tras esta primera valoración, un equipo de trabajo de profesionales de Fundación CABALLO AMIGO junto con los profesores del colegio Buenafuente, han desarrollado un informe para cada alumno de los objetivos educativos de cara al próximo curso académico.
Tanto la dirección del colegio como los profesores han considerado que son números y valiosos, los beneficios que el contacto con el caballo y la equitación aporta en la educación de los niños y han propuesto el reconocimiento de la terapia ecuestre como terapia de apoyo en la oferta educativa del Colegio Buenafuente para el curso académico 2018-2019.
Las actividades desarrolladas en el centro ecuestres han sido:
• Equitación: Montar a caballo, sentir el movimiento del paso del caballo y aprender a dirigirlo a través de las ayudas del jinete.
• Cuidados del Caballo: Iniciar a los alumnos en los aspectos más importantes del cuidado y manejo diario del caballo: cepillado y limpieza diaria, cuidado de los cascos y medidas de seguridad a tener en cuenta.
